Tuberculosis
To be granted a residence permit, you must be prepared to undergo a tuberculosis test and, if necessary, undergo treatment for tuberculosis.
You (or the person who represents you) need to fill in and sign a declaration of intent relating to the tuberculosis examination. Please include this signed 'Declaration of Intent for a Tuberculosis Test' with the application.
When you also meet all other requirements, the IND will then grant you a residence permit as soon as possible. You then receive this permit on the specific condition that you will in fact undergo a tuberculosis test within 3 months. If, after a residence permit has been issued, it becomes apparent that you failed to undergo a tuberculosis test within the aforementioned 3 months - despite the fact that you signed the declaration of intent - the residence permit may be revoked.
The obligation to undergo the examination does not apply if you have the nationality of one of the following countries:
the EU/EEA member states, Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, Monaco, New Zealand, Surinam, United States of America, and Switzerland (including Liechtenstein).
